Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Models of Pride is the largest LGBTQ college conference of its kind. Hosted by the Center’s LifeWorks program, this two-day event includes workshops, roundtables, college recruiters, corporate hiring managers, group activities, entertainment and more.
And for the first time ever, the conference has expanded to two days with a full day on Friday, October 12th called “Making it Better Together.” This day-long training uses the most advanced tools of community organizing and psychology, wherein student leaders from all over Southern California learn from a specialized model of leadership development called public narrative (a tool to motivate ourselves and others to join a movement through telling our personal stories of struggle and leadership).
