If you were fired or you're having trouble finding work because of your gender identity or expression, the Center's Transgender Economic Empowerment Project (TEEP) can help you find work, polish your job skills or educate your co-workers about your transition.
Transgender Health Care
The Transgender Health Program provides comprehensive primary health care as well as trans-specific services such as Pap smears for trans men, prostate exams for trans women, hormone-therapy supervision and post-surgical care for those who have undergone sex-reassignment surgery.
Social Networking Group
Transgender Perceptions is a volunteer facilitated, drop-in social networking group for everyone across the gender spectrum.
Common topics include coming out as transgender, the emotional aspects of being trans, being transgender in the workplace, building community, educating and evolving society about trans issues, finding your personal strength, personal safety, legal issues and many other topics that are relevant and useful for all transgender individuals.
|Trans Pride L.A.
The country's largest transgender pride celebration, Trans Pride L.A. includes workshops, discussion groups, entertainment, art, music and more.
If you're questioning your gender identity, thinking about trasitioning or taking the first steps toward transition, you probably have a lot of questions.
Center support groups, which run in 12-week cycles, are available for both FTMs and MTFs. The professionally led groups focus on helping you enhance your communication skills, increase your self-esteem and build a support system.
No matter where you fall on the gender continuum, you can find group and individual counseling tailored to your needs at the Center.
